This debate started as an innocent disagreement between a few seniors. They feel that apple juice is advertised more for kids and orange juice is advertised more for adults. It’s very tasty and also keeps me awake.” These orange juice lovers argue that it is more sophisticated than apple juice.
Senior Chloe Barbour wrote, “It’s classic and makes me feel good after drinking it. They think that apple juice is too plain and does not give off the right vibe. The students that sided with orange juice love the citrusy flavor, texture, and nutritional benefits it provides. In the survey, senior Charlie Petersen explained, “Orange juice has like a soft, fuzzier feeling (child vibes) to it whereas apple juice has like a hard, crispy feeling (sophisticated vibes).”
They feel that apple juice is more sophisticated. An escape from a cruel adult world.” Others argue that orange juice is more childish. Senior Saffron Schleusner wrote, “Apple is nostalgic. Many students have also shared their love for the feeling of nostalgia that apple juice gives them. You can have apple juice with anything and it tastes good,” senior Ashton Mapes explained.
“You can’t have orange juice, then have a pie. They also complain about the fact that once orange juice has been drunk, it is almost impossible to enjoy anything else. Students who argue that apple juice is better say that it is sweeter and orange juice is just too bitter. The students of Eos participated in a survey which revealed that 62.8% of students prefer apple juice 25.6% prefer orange juice 9.3% like both and 2.3% disagreed with all three options and chose milk. At first glance, this debate is nothing but silly fun, but to the students, it is worth much more. Northwest High School’s varsity show choir, Eos, has been struck with the popular debate, apple juice vs orange juice.
